Just a little softball update.
Well, tonight we played our last regular season softball game. We played in Chico, Texas, against a Chico team that was fighting for their playoff lives. I bet they wish they had a different opponent! Yeah, we won, but they put up a tremendous battle. We played our first 5 inning game of the year. It was tied after 2 innings, one to one. We ended up pulling it out 9-6, but it was a great game. Do you know how I know it was a great game? Because my heart was pounding and my stomach was upset until it was over. Now, if we lost, we would still be in the 4 team playoff, but our opponent would have changed. If we lost, we would have played the Chico team again in the first game on Saturday, but if we won, we would play the ONLY team that has a win against us this year, the Boyd Mighty Stingers. Look back, and see if I thought we should have lost that game. Horrible home town, Boyd, officiating won that game for them, and we will avenge that loss on Saturday. GUARANTEED!!!!
Now for anyone who can, or wants to, come to the games on Saturday, we play at 12:30 P.M. in Bridgeport. Then we WILL play in the championship game at 5:30 P.M. on Saturday. Yes, I thought this would be a county tournament, with all teams participating, but it is not. There are only the top 4 teams in the playoff. No matter, we are the best team and we, hopefully will win. I just hope that the games are called fairly. Our official record is 7-1-2, but in all fairness to MY girls, we are 10-0. Period, end of sentence!!! Jessica was outstanding tonight, and Haley was superb last game, so Haley is up for game one, and Jess for the championship. So come on out, we have room for anyone interested. I know it is a long drive, but I promise it will be worth it.
