Home again!

Well the drive out was good. Nat, Matt and I played the ABC game a few times. Hopefully they will improve, or cheat, but it was fun just the same. We left just before 7 am, and got to Sweetwater at about 10:25 am. I dropped the kids off there with Bill and Barbara, then got back on the road to Midland. I got there about 12:25 pm, went and ate lunch with Bobby, Chanda, Bailey, Chloe, Delaynee, Danny (Chanda's dad), Nicole and Casey (Chanda's sister and her husband). Then off to the airport. Bobby and Casey dropped me off at about 1:30 pm, just right for a 2:40 pm flight. I thought that I would be flying over Bill and Barbara's house, because last time I flew from Dallas to Midland I went right over. So, I told the kids to be outside about 3:05 and watch for a plane, daddy would be on it. No such luck. We flew well south of Sweetwater, and they live about 15 miles north. We were avoiding bad weather. But, Matthew said he waived to me anyway, what a good boy.

I arrived in Dallas about 5 minutes early, at 3:45 pm, and went to meet Angie and Brayden. They were just a few minutes late, no big deal. Then we were off to go to a new Home Depot Landscape store in Colleyville. The store was actually a big letdown for me, I guess I expected too much. It is as advertised, a landscape store, but I was expecting more of a Home Depot feel. Then to Sam's for a new outfit for Brayden, and some pants and a shirt for me. Afterwards, we went to eat at Cafe Express. I love this place. They have unpitted olives, little pickles, and other stuff to snack on while you are waiting on your food to come out. We both ordered the combo, you get a sandwich, soup, and a salad. We both had chicken soup, and chicken salad sandwiches, but I got a ceasar salad, and she got a greek salad. Perfect on my food, but Angie said the Greek salad was too SPICY!!! I have never had one, and did not have a bite of her's, even though it was offered, but a spicy salad. WOW, that is a concept I could get into.

Afterwards, Angie did a little shopping in the stores that were close, and I took Brayden to the truck, where he went to sleep on my lap. He was so sleepy that it made me tired. What a great feeling, knowing that your child is so comfortable with you that he can go to sleep while sitting on your lap. I know that it happens all the time, but not to me. Normally, I have to try to put him to sleep. I don't get to spend the time with my children that I would like to, but at least today Brayden and I clicked totally. He was the best child today. He never cried, never screamed, nothing. Just a happy little boy. He has been cutting teeth, and has been a little cranky. Oh well, that is the way it goes at this age. We all know that better days are to come. All of his teeth will be in soon, then he can start working on trying to knock them out, like Matthew did. I wonder how many beds Brayden will roll off of? A few, I'm sure, but maybe he won't land on his face like his brother did.

Well, I guess thats about it for today,

See ya then,

Jim
